Wesleyan Students Earn Degrees
At the 186th Commencement ceremony on May 27, Wesleyan University awarded 745 bachelor of art degrees, 41 master of art degrees, 21 master of art in liberal studies degrees, and 20 doctor of philosophy degrees.

Spring 2018 Dean's List Announced
A total of 1,621 students have been named to the Dean's List at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) for the Spring 2018 semester of the 2017-2018 academic year, according to Joanne Bruno, J.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs. Students eligible for the Dean's List are those who have attained a 3.50 quality point average or better and are enrolled full-time. The letter grade "B" earns 3 quality points per credit, and the grade "A" earns 4 quality points per credit.

University of Scranton Confers Master's and Doctoral Degrees
The University of Scranton conferred nearly 600 master's and doctoral degrees at its graduate commencement ceremony on May 26 in the Byron Recreation Complex. Graduates recognized at the ceremony include those who completed their degree requirements in August and December of 2017, as well as January and May of 2018.

University of Scranton Undergraduate Commencement
The University of Scranton conferred more than 890 bachelor's and associate's degrees at its undergraduate commencement on May 27 at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre. Very Reverend Timothy P. Kesicki, S.J., president of the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States, read the remarks of the principal speaker Most Reverend George V. Murry, S.J., Bishop of the Diocese of Youngstown, who was unable to attend the ceremony in person because he is undergoing treatment for a form of acute leukemia. Both Father Kesicki and Bishop Murry, in absentia, received honorary degrees from the University. Honorary degrees were also presented to Sister Ann Walsh, I.H.M., former CEO and current assistant director of Friends of the Poor; William Whitaker, founding president of the Washington Jesuit Academy, Washington. D.C.; and Cecelia Lynett Haggerty, Times-Shamrock Communications and former University trustee.

Students Earn Degrees from the University of Vermont
Some 3,072 students were awarded degrees during the University of Vermont's 217th commencement ceremonies. Alexander Nemerov, alumnus and one of the nations' leading art historians and scholar of cultural history, delivered the address.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its fall 2017 Dean's List. CCU students volunteer at women's leadership conference in Myrtle Beach featuring the Bush sisters
More than 40 Coastal Carolina University students volunteered during the eighth annual Women's Leadership Conference and Celebration of Inspiring Women Feb. 5-6 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Nearly 800 women attended the conference to hear keynote speakers Jenna Hager and Barbara Pierce Bush, author Cara Brookins, Boeing's Joan Robinson-Berry and NASCAR driver Julia Landauer. The conference is presented by Women in Philanthropy and Leadership (WIPL) at Coastal Carolina University.
